Figure 3.4 shows the optimized principle.
The stops (15) are supported by a shaft (16) arranged remotely from cylindrical chamber (2) so that it can be controlled by mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electric means, or by a combination of the said means, arranged remotely from the cylindrical chamber so that the working volume is without any form of lubrication and can operate dry and at high temperature, and are capable of tilting so that bearing pressure (14) is supported by shaft (16), the outer side (13) being preferably the high pressure side and the lateral side (17) being the low pressure side, the articulation of the stop around a shaft being thus lubricated independently without any effect inside the cylindrical chamber.
